About Kyla Gilbreath
I am an artist exploring many different mediums, but I work primarily in colored pencils and painting. My practice engages with serious themes embedded in people, animals, and nature. I am based in Southeastern Indiana and throughout the tristate area. Currently pursuing a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Cincinnati through the Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning program.
Although I work a lot with colored pencils and paint, I have a love for animation and character design. The movement, storytelling, and expressive possibilities of movement and visual storytelling within these fields continually inspire my artistic practice.
